SURFING
SURFING IS A GREAT SPORT TO BE ENJOYED BY PEOPLE OF ALL AGES AND FITNESS LEVELS. IT IS A GREAT WAY TO PICK UP A NEW SPORT OR EVEN JUST AN EXCUSE TO GET INTO THE GREAT OUTDOORS.
Bundoran has some of the world’s best waves on our doorstep. You can walk to Tullan Strand and the Peak in 5 minutes from the lodge. We also cater to those looking for rentals or lessons. Rentals are €20per day and lessons €35pp for 3 hours. Contact us for more info.
Beginner lessons take place in waist deep water so don’t worry if you aren’t confident in the water. Our Surf School is approved by the Irish Surfing Association, all lessons are fully insured and all instructors are qualified beach lifeguards. Check the video to see what we do.
Changing facilities, hot showers, and a hot drink after the session included. All you need is a towel and swimwear. We use 4/3mm wetsuits during summer season and 5/4/3mm wetsuits in winter. Price includes all equipment, changing facilities, hot showers. Beach transfer are €10 pp.
There are plenty of different surfboards you can try out and if you are thinking of buying a board, renting is an ideal way to try before you buy. If you have your own board you can use it on the lessons.
Lessons & Rentals
BEGINNER SURF LESSONS:
Adults €35pp For Groups of 2-7 people – €30pp Groups of 8 and more – €25pp
Kids (from 8 to 16yrs inclusive).
Lessons run at 10am, 12pm and 2pm all year round.
All instructions and equipment provided.
Transport to and from beach are 10pp
The lessons last for about 3 hours.
IMPROVER SURF LESSONS:
Lesson costs €40pp with a maximum of 6 people in a group;
Lessons daily at 10am and 2pm (we need 2 people minimum);
We can arrange alternative times for private groups of 2-6 people;
RENTALS:
Board, wetsuit and boots (gloves and hood in winter)
€20 for full day, €120 for full week.
Surfboard
€20 for full day, €120 for full week.
Bodyboard, wetsuit and boots
€15 for day and €90 for the week.
Wetsuit and boots (gloves and hood in winter)
€10 for full day and €60 for the week.
